What is a Fountaine Pajot?

Fountaine Pajot was founded near La Rochelle in 1976 by Olympic sailors Jean-Francois Fountaine and Yves Pajot. It builds sailing and power catamarans from 12 to 24 metres, and its larger models, the Alegria 67 above all, are among the most common crewed catamarans in Greece, Croatia and the Caribbean.

Crewed Fountaine Pajot catamarans are how many groups first try a week on the water: four to six cabins of a similar size, so couples share fairly, a level saloon and cockpit, and a shallow draft for anchoring off beaches. For the price of one week on a mid-size motor yacht you get more space and a lower fuel bill.
